Volunteer
Appreciation Evening OPC was proud to host this year's Volunteer Appreciation Evening on April 1, 2010 at the Lakeside Park Garden
Center. This annual event, sponsored by Oakland Public Works Agency and Keep Oakland Beautiful, honors Oaklanders who pitch
in to keep their streets and stormdrains clean; eradicate graffiti from lamp posts and mailboxes; weed, plant and pick up
litter in parks and medians--those who volunteer time and labor to make Oakland a better place in which to live. This year,
OPC asked Council Members to choose special volunteers from their districts to to honor. Here are snapshots of those honorees
